Acquisition integration
Responsible as point of contact for IT Operations in spearheading the acquisition transition with Lockheed Martin. From data circuits and telephony to remote access, domain and email account transitions our team was responsible for seamless transition in a timely manner to ensure acquisition was smooth. Teamed with multiple large teams at LM to ensure transitions were planned, executed and completed. All transitions were completed and acquisition was successful allowing LMCT employees to integrate into a LM business culture.
Data center expansion
Engineered, deployed and maintained an expanded data center with ~80 servers, telecommunications equipment, HVAC and electrical and circuit planning for new location. Lead team of engineers to successfully migrate and deploy new server and telephony VOIP infrastructure ensuring state of the art equipment and services for a growing company in a new location. Teamed with multiple vendors and design teams to ensure planing and delivery was completed to senior management expectations and timeline.
Desktop Support
Lead small team of computer systems analysts in daily support of everything ranging from active directory and email accounts to data storage, local windows systems and software delivery. Team handled asset management, computer imaging and telephony via Shore tel VOIP in a facility with approximately 500 highly technical users in office and lab environment locations. Mobile devices, multi function printers and badge systems qwere also supported across facilities.
Shoretel voip
Lead effort to research, design and implement new VOIP system, Shoretel, replacing traditional PBX system to increase cost savings for company and eliminate system risks and support issues. Deployed multilocation VOIP system using Shoretel system and delivered training to support engineers and end user staff during deployment.
Executive support
Responsible for Executives support for all devices and software both within the facility, board meeting locations and other remote locations. Responsible for engaging with proper staff to schedule small windows to access executives devices in order to service in a timely manner. Delivered traiing as required to executives on various software and hardware items.
Wireless
Implemented Wireless connectivity for end user computing equipment across multiple sites including stop gap measure to WAN connect two sites via long range wireless signaling. This was the first wireless connectivity at any of the company facilities and became the primary source of connectivity because of reliability and speed in most use cases.
Security cleared work
Lead engineering and support efforts in DoD classified areas to ensure projects security and operational efficiency. Operated within strict security guidelines in very small teams of engineers while maintinaing responsabilities in unclassified areas of facility.
Windows
Lead small team of engineers that supported all aspects of the Windows operating system, including image development and deployment across ~450 systems. Used various software delivery mechanisms including in house developed and Microsoft SMS to deliver required software in an automated system. Reduced staff by one FTE by removing manual installations and image deployment.
